BJE: Engineering Robust, Reliable, Bolted Joints

BJE provides advanced training in bolted joint analysis.

We teach engineers what they need to know to design, assess and optimize complex joint systems.  We don’t cover what mechanical engineers already know or can easily reference: basic engineering concepts, fasteners standards, thread standards, material standards, power tool standards, fastener manufacturing methods, coating processes, standard torque charts, etc.  We teach what isn’t taught in school, and what’s not in textbooks.  Other technical bolt seminars don’t teach what we do.  Our training continues where the others leave off.

BJE Training focuses  on:

Joints as Systems

Load Path Calculations

Statistical Distributions

...more details.

BJE’s teaching approach is unique.

Our seminars are either 4 or 8 hours of group instruction in a meeting room environment with a maximum of 10 engineers.  The small size makes working level engineering discussion a valuable  part of the process.  Every participant has 4 hours of individual follow up consultation available, by phone or net meeting, to support application of learned techniques on their joints

Engineers use BJE analytical techniques to answer practical questions like:

How do geometric tolerances affect my joint performance?

How tightly do I need to control them?

My fastener finish is changing - is my joint still OK?
